- VLC 3.0.8 is the eight update of "Vetinari":
- Fix stuttering for low framerate videos
- Improve adaptive streaming support
- Fix WebVTT subtitles rendering
- Improve audio output on macOS &iOS
- It also fixes security issues:
- 13 issues, including 5 buffer overflows we fixed. 11 CVEs were assigned and addressed.
- VLC 3.0 "Vetinari" is a new major update of VLC
- VLC 3.0 activates hardware decoding by default, to get 4K and 8K playback!
- It supports 10bits and HDR
- VLC supports 360 video and 3D audio, up to Ambisonics 3rd order
