good for the money. not great, but gets the job done. A little too weak towards the base, given its relatively large size, if you have it plugged directly on your computer, If you but tap this, the soldering will snap and you will own a tiny little brick. I am now the owner of a tiny little brick :3They are cheap enough that i knew this could happen and bought 2, so i had a backup and i am now more wary.... Read more...

I need xp driver...website link not working... etc..
Edit....3 weeks later I've they left response by the time i got home to write down info they asked for the response was gone. But in my googling i think i found the email they left and i called number on box 3 times and vmail full....shipper says send back....i don't feel like doing all that when all i feel i need is the xp driver....ive spent hours on this crap because i usually solve these issues. Ive made a post on a website where i kindly seeked help not mentioning Bolse. I understand from reviews many thumbs up their cs....but good cs isnt seasonal. If they cant update website or message seller's to post new contact they get 1 star from me. Furthermore, if this product doesn't work with xp fine JUST SAY IT BEFORE SOMEONE SPENDS HOURS TROUBLESHOOTING AND DOWNLOADING A DRIVER THAT LEFT A NASTY PUP (MALWARE)...I've had this for a week and still haven't used it. I picked this company out of similarly priced from other companies i never heard of because reviewer's spoke on the great customer service. Well, the computer i bought this for is xp so tve cd doesn't work. It was late so i waited til the next day....no problem I'll go to website in book and be running in 5 minutes. Website link given in manual appears invalid. No problem I'll Google the driver on another computer put on usb drive etc....after all the back and forth i got exhausted. 3 days later and malwarebytes detecting some pup. thing from a driver i downloaded....so i google more and find Bolse support email. I messaged them probably around 7 hrs ago (i know thats not 24 or 48 hrs) but i need to get this thing going soon! I need a link for xp driver. My last adapter (netgear) cost me over 30 before the fragile case broke....this one feels even cheaper (case actually is but for a fraction of the price i wont complain) but this isnt a good start. I'll give a full review whenever i get to use it..... its making me give a star rating so for now I'll just try neutral at 3 stars. I hate to do that being i haven't connected but....Anyways thanksUpdate......still no xp driver or email reply. Can someone post driver?... Read more...

Bought this for a desktop pc which I bought from an auction site. Although this doesnt officially support Windows 10 computers, it seems to work fine, other than an error message when I start the pc up. Would certainly recommend it.... Read more...

works great where my laptop on-board adapter fails, but every few days gets funky until I eject and unplug for a minute or two.the disc that came with it was no help, the program crashed my Windows, but once my laptop got online on its own for a few minute, Windows was able to find the driver. until then I had a great catch-22, as couldn't get online with it because I couldn't get online to get the driver.if it doesn't last long, at least it was cheap and let me verify that my connection problems are with my laptop's adapter! When this gives out, I'll get a better one.... Read more...

Fantastic - works as described and installed easily
Great product. Almost plug and play with Windows10 (installed the dongle first, then the software from the CD and finally a reboot) and works well. Rock solid 5Ghz connection to my Asus Dual Band wifi router. Browsing speeds seem to have improved and in summary I am delighted with this product.... Read more...

Highly Recommended - works straight out of the box with Windows 10
Worked directly out of the box with Windows 10. I just needed to disable my laptop wireless adaptor, Windows 10 created a WIFI 2 icon on the adaptors screen in control panel and when this was enabled everything worked absolutely fine.My laptop is not dual band therefore I could not get the 70Mpbs speed from my BT fibre optic router. Once this adaptor was installed I instantly achieved more than 68Mpbs.... Read more...

Fast and reliable - Get one
I have been using this thing for quite a few months now and have to say it is pretty good. I have a £180 netgear r8000 router which pushes out a great signal and this Bolse sits next door to my router through 1 wall and picks up everything really well for hours on end. I can send a 1gb file in about 60 seconds at 15mbps .... Read more...

GOOD FAST RELIABLE CONNECTION
This is the second Bolse N600 Dual Band Wireless USB Adapter I've purchased.Like the first one this is providing a stable and fast wireless connection to my router which is downstairs approx. 6 metres away in a straight line through walls and floor. Both are used with PCs with Windows 10 and in my experience they are more stable than other Netgear and Edimax Adapters which I have.... 5 stars from me. I'm not a tech geek, so I shan't comment on the tech side of this gadget, as I don't understand it!! Nonetheless, I am thrilled to bits with this little USB gizmo - it was extremely easy to install, and it is very simple to use. It downloads/uploads data fairly quickly, and it does all that I ask of it. Can't fault this product in any way. The customer service from the supplier was exemplary and their after sales care very good - how refreshing??!!I'm so glad I bought this adapter 😀... Read more...

First of all I want to say Bolse's customer service is excellent. They responded numerous times and in a timely manner. That said, I have to tell you this story. I have a 2013 MBP. Most people know the internal Wifi for Mac is terrible and mine is no different. So I thought I'd try an adapter. Got it, installed the software. Be aware there are no real directions for Apple products on turning this thing on - you sort of have to muddle through it. Pages and pages of instructions for a PC though. I finally figured out there is a code number you have to put in and that activates the software for connection. Turned off my internal Wifi, connected the adapter. Nothing. It disconnects and reconnects about every second. So I contacted their customer service. After several days the conclusion was them telling me it won't work through a wall. Now, for me, this was a head shaker. If you are already getting reception on a fairly poor MBP setup, but can't get one at all from this adapter my opinion is that this thing isn't worth a darn. They told me you have to be in sight of the router. So I surmise this product is for people who have older computers that don't have internal WiFi capabilities.... Read more...

We have an older WIN7 pc, without a wifi card, hard-wired into the Virgin router. We wanted to move the pc to a different room. It would have been really difficult to extend the Virgin cable so, after much research, opted to try this. I needed to download the drivers and I didn't use the button to find the network, but it was all very straightforward. The result is that having moved the pc from ethernet cable to wifi, and physically moving the pc around 8m away from the router, we now have a faster connection plus all the benefits of wifi. Totally delighted with it.... Read more...

Does not really support Linux like they say. Bolse driver is out of date and fails to work.
It states that this item works with Linux. As yet, although I've had little time to work with it, it has not shown any signs of connecting to a WAP with security using either the driver you can download from their site, or the updated one on GIT hub, or the ndiswrapper which allows use of the Windows one.The native driver from their site has not been updated in years and causes a compile error, but some digging takes you to GIT hub where some kind person has updated the code. However, I still need to play with it more to make it work, especially on XBMC.The NDISwrapper is the closest as it sees the device with the WinXP64 bit driver, but has trouble connecting to secure WAPs.So not the best purchase as yet.Don't buy it if you are planning on using Linux as it doesn't work straight out of the box or with the native drivers. Will update this if I get it working, when I find some time.... Warning! Crashes repeatedly on OS X Yosemite
Initially ok but the OS X interface really needs some improvement and be prepared for the Kernel panics (Full System Crash, losing all your work)it will run for about an hour then take your system down for an immediate reboot. Its probably there RTL driver software provided needs to be updated. Runs ok on Windows 8 (this is why i think the OS X drivers are not up to it) other USB devices are performing flawlessly so i am pretty confident their driver software is at fault.I would not recommend this for Yosemite without a confirmed working OS X Yosemite driver from Realtek....
