Please Note: On Windows, Elgato Stream Deck 4.2will display that the plugin is not installed when using OBS 21.xor earlier.
In Windows 10, you may see a message that "Elgato Remote Control plugin is missing". That is the current name of the plugin that interfaces with OBS.
In macOS, OBS 21.xwill simply crash on launch.
A workaround is to:
1. Update OBS. The latest version is 23.1
2. Install (or Reintall) Elgato Stream Deck 4.2
OBS 22.xmay also work fine, but we always recommend that you use the latest available version of OBS.

Solution For Those Who Don't Want To Upgrade OBS
If you do not wish to upgrade to the latest OBS from OBS 21.x, you can downgrade Elgato Stream Deck 4.2to version 4.1.
