Perform the following steps to configure an ODBC connection on Windows:
- Download the Amazon Redshift ODBC drivers from the AWS website.You must download the 32-bit or 64-bit driver based on your Windows system.
- Install the Amazon Redshift ODBC drivers on the machine that hosts the PowerCenter Integration Service.
- Open the following folder in which ODBC data source file is installed.

- Run the file.TheODBC Data Sources Administratorbox appears.
- The tab appears. The following image shows the tab on theODBC Data Sources Administratorbox:
- TheAmazon Redshift ODBC Driver DSN Setupbox appears. The following image shows theAmazon Redshift ODBC Driver DSN Setupbox where you can configure the connection settings and authentication:
- Specify the following connection properties in the section:Location of the Amazon Redshift server.Port number of the Amazon Redshift server.Name of the Amazon Redshift database.You must specify the , , and values from the JDBC URL.
- Specify the following authentication properties in the section:Type of the authentication.User name to access the Amazon Redshift database.Password for the Amazon Redshift database.Encrypts the password for the following users:
- All Users of This Machine
Default is . - Click in theAmazon Redshift ODBC Driver DSN Setupbox.The box appears. The following image shows the box:
- Select to disable the authentication in the field.
- Click in the box.The box closes.
- Click to test the connection in theAmazon Redshift ODBC Driver DSN Setupbox.
- The Amazon Redshift ODBC connection is configured successfully on Windows.
After you configure the Amazon Redshift ODBC connection, you must create an ODBC connection to connect to Amazon Redshift.
