Even though this is only a trailer for the actual action game loosely based on the Spider-Man 3 film, many consider it as being more fun than playing the full game Spider-Man 3. Keeping to the previous versions of the game, you can explore a large Manhattan map, allowing you to take your own routes to destinations, swinging between buildings in that cinematic style, protecting the city from the bombs set up by a new gang called the H-Bombers, before eventually finding out what villain is behind the whole thing. Interspersed between this are actions and cinematics about Peter (Spider-Man) and his life. Struggles with his alter ego, and even dates with Mary Jane, attempt to give a more rounded experience, more similar to the film itself.
This game features the red and blue Spidey everyone knows and loves, as well as the black Spider-Man, just as well known, but not as well liked. Considering the lack-lustre reviews from the actual Spider-Man 3 game, playing this trailer before adding it to your collection isn’t a bad idea.
