Introduction: Awesome and Cheap, Iron Man Mark 42-43 Armor
Be The IRON MAN and impress your friends with a few simple steps,
becoming a true superhero
¡¡Lets Begin!!
Step 1: Materials
- Pepakura viewer and designer
- The armor patterns
- Printer
- Cardboard
- Cutter
- Hot glue
- Spray paint
- Velcro
- Elastic band
- Plastic clasp
Polypropylene strap twill
Marker
Brass-plated brooch (for mobility)
Step 2: Download Pepakura Viewer and Designer
Pepakura Viewer and Designer is a Windows application which makes unfolded patterns from 3D data.

Step 3: Download the Patterns
Download the patterns and open them in pepakura.

(THE FIRST ONE IS THE WHOLE ARMOR)
Step 4: Scale the Parttern to Your Measure and Print
The best explanation for the pattern scale is from HERE, if you have any questions further investigation, or tell me in the comments
PD:You have to use pepakura Desinger to scale the pattern
!!!NOW YOU ONLY HAVE TO PRINT¡¡¡ :D
Step 5: Put the Patterns in the Cardboard
After print the patterns,Cut the pieces and copy them on the cardboard with the marker,then cut the cardboard and put the pieces together with hot glue .
Step 6: Time to Suit Up¡¡¡
Test the armor to see if everything is going well
Step 7: Paint Job
Afther paint all the armor you are redy¡¡¡¡¡
IMPORTANT:
- If you want mark 42(from iron man 3) you have to paint it like THIS
- If you want mark 43(from Avengers:age of ultron) you have to paint it like THIS
Step 8: Be the Iron Man!!!!!
Suit up and be the IRON MAN ,now you can impress your frients with your incredible armor!!!!!

Couldn't you cut each piece out of metal instead then weld it? That would be cool. Alternatively you could use thin wood
If you want to be realistic, of course !! ... but I prefer to start with cardboard and foam, then I will try to go to the next level;)

Yes, it is,from ironman 3 and avengers age of ultron
Not trying to be corrective at all sir. But, just so you know : iron man 3 is Mark 42... Which was destroyed. Avengers : Age of Ultron is mark 46, I think. But I know they're not the same
Iron man 3 is mark 42,yes,and in Avengers: Age of ultron there are 3 Iron man suits...the 43, that is like the 42 but with other paint job,the 44 (hulkbuster),and the 45 in the final battle of the film....and the mark 46 is from Captain america:Civil war....;)
That's awesome! I bet if you coated this bad boy in resin and used a little bondo you could have a Movie prop quality costume! food for thought, keep up the good work!
did that with halo helmet costume last year. It came out awesome and kids loved it.. This time trying for the whole costume.
when using bondo, make sure to aerate. That sucker has very strong after-odor

No ,sorry ,this is all i have ,but in pepakura viewer you have to click on the pieces to show you the posision in armor, that will help you to build it.

I made what you see here, but i stop the project because i want to do it in foam :)
so i can't show a picture of the legs part , but ,the patterns are in the post so if you do it let me know ,and wen i make my foam armor ,I will tell you ;)
